MINISTRY: CARING FOR THE CAREGIVER This ministry is in honor of Kim's mom, Barbara Hammersmith. In 2006, Barbara passed away at the young age of 54 after a three year battle with brain cancer. During her illness, Barbara lived with Kim and her family and they provided her with constant care, love and attention. Kim knows from personal experience the amount of energy needed to care for a terminally ill loved one. Kim believes she was called to perform this ministry and counts it a blessing to be able to help caregivers in need. Kim's goal is to provide a time of rest and relaxation that will enable the caregiver to return to their loved one with renewed strength and vital energy. |

Kim provides these services free of charge to the primary caregiver who is caring for a terminally ill family member. If you or someone you know would benefit from this ministry, please contact Kim at info@ommcenter.com or call her at Savannah Avenue Salon: 912-489-4300.

Caregivers may choose from the following options:
MINISTRY MASSAGE
Everyone needs the warm, nurturing touch of therapeutic bodywork. Stressful life events make bodywork even more valuable. Kim will listen attentively to the client and develop a unique experience that will meet their individual needs.
STILL JOURNEY - A ONE HOUR RESTORATIVE YOGA RETREAT
Kim Owens, LMT leads Still Journey, a mind/body/Holy Spirit experience utilizing OMM Center's Still Journey CD. The practice combines restorative yoga, breath-work and guided imagery to relax the body and mind, and is followed by 20-minutes of contemplative (silent) prayer to strengthen your spirit. This is a great way to regain vital energy.
*Ministry sessions are provided free of charge. If you are able, Kim gladly accepts donations in support of this important ministry.
